Our Approach

An unplanned pregnancy can feel like a crisis.

In that moment, we just want the crisis to be over. Many of our team have faced that decision, with different outcomes.  We know what it is to be scared, to feel pressured, backed into a corner, feeling like you don’t have many options or support. Most women don’t want to choose abortion, they just don’t know what else to do.  Most women do know where to go to get an abortion, but they very rarely know where to go for real help so that abortion doesn’t feel like their only choice. We are that place.

Welcome to Abiding Care – where all of our services are available to you at no cost and confidentially!

Our Commitment to You

  • Our medical clinic is staffed only with licensed medical professionals in good standing. They are well-trained, compassionate people who are here because they care.
  • Our goal at your appointment is to give you a safe space to talk freely, ask questions and ensure you leave with all the information you need to make an informed decision about your pregnancy. While our mission is to ensure each woman has what she needs to parent or make an adoption plan, we understand that some still may choose abortion. We want you to know that regardless of what you choose, you will not face judgment, threats, manipulation, or scare tactics – or anything of that kind. We strive to create a safe, nurturing, and welcoming time here. You are always welcome – regardless of what you choose.
  • We work hard to give you the most up-to-date and accurate medical information.
  • There is no cost to any of our services. We never profit from your decision.
  • We do everything we can to make your visit private and confidential. If you would like added privacy, please ask about the alternate ways to enter and exit our facility, parking options, and more.

Who & How we help

Regardless of how you feel about a possible pregnancy, the first step is to determine if you are in fact pregnant. Especially since 1 in 3 pregnancies end in miscarriage. We can help by starting with a lab quality urine pregnancy test. If that’s positive, you will be offered a pregnancy confirmation ultrasound. This is the only way to truly confirm a pregnancy. Through the ultrasound, we can check for an ectopic pregnancy (which can be life-threatening, especially if taking abortion pills), whether or not it is a viable pregnancy (or possible miscarriage), and get a measurement to best determine how far along you are. Your privacy is a big priority here, so no need for late night runs to the store or ER!

If you weren’t planning on becoming pregnant, and you don’t even know what to do next - you're in the right place! This is a safe space to get information, ask your questions, cry, vent, cry some more - whatever you need to do! Our nurses are here to give compassionate care and accurate information. If you are considering parenting or adoption, they will make sure you know all the help and resources available to you. Our main goal is for you to know that you are not alone in this. We are here to walk with you.

We know if a woman is considering an abortion, she is usually up against a lot and doesn’t know what else to do. We offer help in many of the areas that push women toward abortion. Let’s talk it through and see if we can’t help you first. At the end of the day, it's still your choice. At the very least, you'll leave knowing all your options, the helps available, and know the risks and your rights. Abiding Care does not provide or refer for abortions.

So much has changed with adoption. Birth mothers have many options within the choice of adoption.  But where do you start?  That’s where we can help!

We can provide you with brochures of reputable adoption services – which you can look at and decide which one feels right for you.  Most adoption services will come to you to meet to talk more and answer your questions. We can help you place that call and/or facilitate a meeting here at our center and we can be there with you – if that is helpful to you. You can ask whatever you want and get all the info you need to make a decision – you are not under ANY obligation. If you decide adoption is the right choice for you, we are happy to continue to walk through your pregnancy with you by offering classes, support and encouragement, if that would be helpful. After your baby is born and placed, we can provide you with different ongoing resources to support birth moms (and dads).

The choice to parent can feel overwhelming. Can I afford to parent? Who will support me? Will I be a good parent? We are in your corner. There is more help available to you than you might imagine.

Through our parenting program and classes you can earn most of the things you would need for a baby newborn through 3 years old.  We can also work with you on other issues as well – housing, budgeting, etc.  Let’s talk through all these things and see if we can’t come up with a plan you can feel good about.  You don’t have to do this alone.

We welcome anyone with a wanted pregnancy to contact us about becoming an Ultrasound Model. Ultrasound Models give our nurses extra opportunities to keep up their skills. Sometimes moms are nervous about a pregnancy and just want that extra reassurance of seeing their baby, and we are happy to help. Even if you're just suspecting a pregnancy, and would like to get it confirmed without having to rack up a big bill - we've got you covered! *Some restrictions apply.

If you suspect a possible miscarriage, you may not know where to go for help or may not always find the help you need. We want you to know, you can always start with us. We can assess your situation and see if an ultrasound can be done or if you need an immediate referral to the ER. Our compassionate and knowledgeable nurses will walk you through what to expect, what your treatment options are, and what questions to ask your doctor. They will also send you home with a comfort care bag filled with needed items for both comfort and to bring respect and dignity to the process. You will also be given a lengthy list of emotional support resources available for your choosing.

STDs are at epidemic levels in our country. Cost should never prevent someone from getting the access to testing and treatment that they need. We provide testing and treatment at no cost to you. And our services are private and confidential. We're currently treating biological females for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Trichomoniasis.

However, we also offer Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT). So if a female has a male partner that they have been or are currently sexually active with, if the female tests positive, the male partner can be treated without having to be tested first. It's strongly recommended that any sexually active female be tested for Chlamydia every six months or with every new partner.

Whether you're accessing our medical services and choosing to parent or adopt or you could just use some extra support or help in your parenting journey, we're here to walk with you! We'll spend time with you to figure out exactly what helps you might need - from classes, to baby items, to referrals and assistance. Our goal is to make sure you have everything you need to be the best parent you can be!
